Erik lounging on the couch (he doesn’t smile much in his pictures, we’ll have to work on that)
These are just a few of the random things Erik has been doing of late…
* rolls over from back to front and vice versa
* he likes to “sing” as a couple of my friends put it
* he likes to play in his jumperoo, and jumps really well in it too!
* sucks his thumb on occassion
* he reaches for and chews on toys, blankets, bibs, burb cloths etc.
* he likes to be held upside down
* he likes his swimming, musical fish he has on the side of his crib
* as of late he likes going on walks and looking around
* most of the time he likes getting a bath
* trying new foods like applesauce and bananas. During the time that Doug and I eat dinner we have been bringing Erik and putting him in his highchair so he’s not alone in the LR, and so he has become very curious with us as we eat.
*He likes to sleep from approx. 9pm-7am on a regular schedule

It has been a while since I made any sort of entry so here goes…I have been keeping myself busy with cleaning around the house and keeping the laundry clean and folded, which is quite a challenge since I don’t particularly like to do the laundry. I have also been playing basketball with some women at church on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 9 am. It is really fun and I have been learning a lot about the game and have made a couple of shots. I have also been trying to incorporate a little creativity in my dinner cooking skills by introducing new dishes, since our usuals are getting a little boring. Doug has been super busy with his crazy work and school schedules. Weekends are now more of a “get my energy back” times for Doug. Hopefully next semester he’ll have the weekend more open. Erik is growing well and moving a lot more. He rolls over all the time now and hopefully he will be holding his bottle on his own soon. For now he usually holds onto my fingers while I feed him. He has started reaching for toys as well as playing with them. He is taking 2 good naps during most days and he is eating more rice cereal. He also loves to put anything in his hands into his mouth. He likes to look outside and he likes to look in the mirror as well. He is still sleeping through the nights which is really wonderful. He is such a good boy! Well until next time…
